By Bus: From Amsterdam CS or Zaandam CS, take bus 392 to Kolksloot (main entrance) or De Kunstgreep (harbour). Bus 125 runs from Buikslotermeerplein to Purmerend, passing the east side of Het Twiske.
Dogs are welcome, though they must be leashed except in designated walking areas. Families often bring picnics, spreading blankets on the grass.
